Miss Harriet Corbett, FRCS

Harriet Corbett graduated at the top of her year from University of Liverpool medical school in 1996 and went on to pursue a career in paediatric surgery.
Undertaking her specialist training in the UK and Australia, she completed an MRC Clinical Research fellowship then specialised in paediatric urology through a competitive fellowship at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Her clinical practice concentrates on bladder function and general paediatric urology, with a focus on hypospadias and upper tract procedures.
Miss Corbett is an active member of Alder Hey’s research community, and she is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Child Health at the University of Liverpool. Her current research focus is foreskin health and bladder function.
Miss Corbett is passionate about surgical safety, sitting on the CORESS Advisory Board and developing the safety and governance infrastructure of the surgical department.
A keen cyclist, she enjoys balancing this passion and family life with her busy clinical practice.
