Mr Behrad Barmayehvar is an ENT ST5 registrar in the West Midlands and is the first fellow of CORESS to represent the Association of Otolaryngologists in Training (AOT). He graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2017. During his full-time run-through surgical training he has additionally obtained an MSc with distinction in Evidence Based Health Care at the University of Oxford. He is currently completing a PGCert in Medical Education at the Newcastle University.
He currently holds the position of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) representative on the AOT committee, and is the Postgraduate Virtual Learning Environment (PGVLE) regional lead for West Midlands. He has previously been on the West Midlands Research Collaborative committee and was a BMA junior doctor representative at the Local Negotiating Committee meetings. He has an interest in safe airway management and quality training amongst all healthcare professionals.
