Mr John T Machin
John is the Clinical Lead for Litigation at GIRFT, working with the GIRFT chair, Prof Tim Briggs at NHS England & Improvement to ensure patient care is improved from reviewing clinical negligence claims in collaboration with NHS Resolution.
John graduated with honours in Medical Sciences at Magdalen College, Oxford before completing his training at UCL. He became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and completed Higher Surgical Training in Nottingham. His current clinical role is as a post-CCT fellow In Trauma and Orthopaedics specialising in hip and knee surgery at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford. He has recently completed an international fellowship at the Lower Limb Reconstruction & Oncology Unit, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada.
