Ms Anna Marie O’Riordan is a graduate of University College Cork, Ireland. She was awarded her MD in 2003 and her FRCS (Urol) in 2007. She was appointed Consultant Urological Surgeon to Freeman Hospital, Newcastle on Tyne in 2009. She has a specialist interest in medical education and was awarded Diploma in Clinical Education as a specialist trainee. She was Lead for the Foundation Programme in Newcastle on Tyne for 5 years, TPD for Urology for 3 years and Educational Lead for Foundation and Core Trainees for BAUS for 5 years. She is a FRCS (Urol) Examiner. Throughout her career she has had a keen interest in patient safety and incident reporting.
